Mortal Kombat 1 vychází oficiálně zítra, tedy v úterý 19. září, ale řada lidí už jej hraje, a tak se podíváme na tři témata, která v posledních dnech mezi fanoušky hodně rezonují.
Začít bohužel musíme něčím nepříliš pozitivním. Skutečnost, že titul vychází kromě PC, PS5 a Xboxu Series také na Switch, udělala fanouškům při oznámení radost. Port dostaly na starost společnosti Shiver Entertainment a Saber Interactive. Nicméně z výsledku už hráči takovou radost nemají. Problémem je jeho kvalita, která není – diplomaticky řečeno – příliš reprezentativní a lichotivá. Internet zaplavily obrázky výrazně osekané grafiky switchové verze a lidé se ptají, zda je vlastně žádoucí hru dostat na Switch za každou cenu, když je výsledkem toto.
Všichni samozřejmě chápou, že výkonnostně se Switch nemůže se zbývajícími platformami vzhledem ke své velikosti a stáří měřit, ale nižší kvalitu nereflektuje ani cenovka. Fanoušci si stěžují, že WB Games chtějí i za tuto verzi 70 dolarů a výsledek tomu moc neodpovídá. Hra opravdu nevypadá dobře a port není moc důstojný. V některých místech grafika připomíná spíš humorné potato mody. Polehčující okolností by snad minimálně zčásti mohlo být, kdyby MK1 na Switchi běžel bezchybně, ale bojovka má problémy i s frameratem a všemožnými bugy a glitchi. Situaci moc nepomohly ani zvěsti, že vývojáři si nepřejí tuto verzi příliš ukazovat. Magazín Digital Foundry chystá svou detailní analýzu, která bude nepochybně průkazná a patřičně exaktní, ale do té doby si musíme vystačit se záběry, které se potulují po internetu.

Je úctyhodné, že se někdo pokusí nabídnout nativní verzi hry, u které by pravděpodobně většina hráčů čekala spíš streamovanou verzi z cloudu. Bude to ale stačit? Uvidíme. Hodně lidí je však teď logicky zvědavých také na to, jak bude vypadat switchová verze Hogwarts Legacy, která má dorazit v polovině listopadu a pochází od stejného vydavatele.
Abychom ale nemluvili o MK1 jen v negativním duchu, za zmínku stojí třeba neoficiální upgrade PC verze. Modder s přezdívkou ermaccer přišel s komunitním updatem, díky němuž běží v 60 fps i scény, které původně autoři zamkli na 30 fps. Týká se to intra, cut scén, fatalit nebo fatal blows. Samotný ermaccer upozorňuje, že jeho řešení může způsobovat nějaké glitche, ale pokud nepřijdou autoři s oficiálním updatem, je to lepší než nic.
A konečně poslední novinka je spíš taková zajímavost. Samotný autor série Ed Boon upozornil na Twitteru, že Mortal Kombat 1 obsahuje mimo jiné pěkný odkaz na snímek Kill Bill režiséra Quentina Tarantina, respektive jeho pokračování. Kameo bojovník Shujinko může udělat fatalitu, v níž soupeře zabije za pomoci techniky pěti bodů a puklého srdce. Tímto způsobem usmrtí Uma Thurman Davida Carradinea. I když samotná legenda je starší a nepřišel s ní Quentin Tarantino, Mortal Kombat 1 použití techniky zobrazil úplně přesně jako film Kill Bill: Vol. 2. Tedy až na to explodující srdce v závěru, které už je čistě ve stylu slavné bojovky.

Na čem si opravdu Honor dal záležet, je vysoký výkon a vynikající displej. U samotné výdrže na jedno nabití sice není telefon žádný rekordman, ale průběžné krátké a rychlé dobíjení během dne může tento handicap eliminovat. Vynikající je fotoaparát, který patří k tomu nejlepšímu, co lze dnes v mobilu mít. Někdy si možná až příliš pomáhá umělou inteligencí, ale výsledky jsou velmi líbivé.
